
Activities
Our tentative schedule for 2026 is as follows. (We reserve the right to change scheduled dates or cancel an activity at the last minute if conditions are not favorable for holding the event.)
- May 01-02: Re-opening of Maple Village and preparation for the Spring Retreat.
- May 14-18: Spring Retreat – “How to water seeds to support our Mindfulness Practice” with Maple Village Dharmacaryas (the monks and nuns will be absent this year).
- June 13-14: Gardening and landscaping weekend. Open house from 10:00am to 04:00pm (visitors are welcome; please bring your own lunch).
- July 18-26: Summer Collaborative Work Camp – This working retreat is focused on maintenance and renovation projects at the Village. The Village will therefore be open to everyone, offering the opportunity to practice meditation while engaging in manual labor. It is a wonderful practice for both body and mind.
- August 02-03: Introduction to Buddhist practices for young families (with a campfire).
- August 15-16: Reserved period (karate camp…)
- August 27-31 (one week before Labor Day): Fall Retreat with the Dharmacaryas of Maple Village.
- September 26-27: A retreat focused on silence and presence in oneself. Two days of shared meditation, silence, and connection with nature. An opportunity to practice presence and deep reflection.
- October 8-12: Retreat for the Vietnamese-speaking community.
- October 24-25: Closing of Maple Village for the winter.

For the summer, we also plan to hold when possible the following one-day activities at the Village:
- Mindfulness Days
- One-day Hong Gia Qigong workshops
We will announce the dates for these one-day activities at a later time.
